ICSC Las Vegas 2026: PropTech Took Center Stage — and Pyxis Labs Was Right in the Middle of It

May 18–20, 2026 Las Vegas, NV · Booth #58PT

Three days. Over 25,000 commercial real estate decisionmakers. And for the first time ever, a dedicated ICSC+PROPTECH experience embedded in the world's largest CRE event. ICSC Las Vegas 2026 (May 18–20) made one thing unmistakably clear: technology is no longer a side conversation in retail real estate — it has a permanent seat at the dealmaking table.

Pyxis Labs was proud to be a sponsor of this year's event and to exhibit at Booth #58PT in the inaugural ICSC+PROPTECH zone in the Central Hall. Here's what we saw, what we heard, and why we left Las Vegas more energized than ever.

The Industry Showed Up Ready to Do Business

The tone on the show floor was confident and forward-looking. Grocery, off-price, and medical retail operators walked the floor with aggressive expansion plans, and the conversations we had with owners and operators reflected an industry focused on growth rather than defense. Keynotes from Randi Zuckerberg, Erin Andrews, and Coach Mike Krzyzewski set the tone: resilience, preparation, and leadership through transformation.

But the story of ICSC 2026 was the debut of ICSC+PROPTECH. Placing technology creators directly on the main show floor — steps from where deals get done — was a statement about where this industry is headed. The traffic at our booth confirmed it: owners, operators, and fund managers weren't asking whether to modernize their operations. They were asking how fast.

Our Roundtable: Zero-Touch CAM Reconciliation

On Monday morning, our CEO Somya Chaudhary hosted an intimate roundtable at the Wynn Las Vegas on a topic that clearly struck a nerve: Zero-Touch CAM Reconciliation and Rent Escalations.

The discussion centered on what becomes possible when AI handles the full lease lifecycle — from document ingestion through final CAM true-up — with human approvals where they matter and manual touchpoints eliminated everywhere else. We walked through how Pyxis's AI engine abstracts leases, OMs, and loan documents, manages rent escalations, and feeds abstracted data directly into budgeting and forecasting workflows in real time.

The reaction told us we're building the right thing. CAM reconciliation remains one of the most manual, error-prone, and expensive processes in retail real estate operations, and the appetite for true end-to-end automation — not just smarter abstraction — was palpable in the room.

What We Heard at the Booth

  • Teams are drowning in documents. Lease abstraction, due diligence packages, loan docs — nearly every operator we spoke with described the same bottleneck. This is exactly what Deal Management and Property Management were built to eliminate.
  • Investor operations are the next frontier. Fund managers told us their back office hasn't kept pace with their portfolio growth. Distributions, K-1s, and investor communications still run on spreadsheets and email. That's the problem Fund Administration solves.
  • Trust and security are non-negotiable. Institutional owners want AI, but they want it built for their compliance requirements. Our enterprise-grade data security posture — including a formal offboarding process that guarantees complete data removal — resonated in every conversation.

What's Next

The weeks since Vegas have been busy in the best way: demos scheduled, follow-up conversations underway, and new relationships forming across the industry. If we met at ICSC and you'd like to continue the conversation — or if we missed each other and you're curious what zero-touch lease operations could look like for your portfolio — we'd love to hear from you.

And mark your calendars: we'll see you at ICSC New York in December.

Want a demo tailored to your portfolio? We'll show you Pyxis in action.
